SCSI Cables
All Cable Connection SCSI cables are constructed to meet or exceed ANSI SCSI II, SCSI III and FAST SCSI ( Ultra SCSI ) specifications. These specifications define the SCSI cable, connector, and backshell operational characteristics for all external assemblies.
We use the highest quality bulk SCSI cable from Madison. This cable is very flexible yet has a single-ended impedance of 90 ohms and a differential impedance of 132 ohms. We also use Amp
high density 50 and 68 pin SCSI connectors, as well as VHDCI connectors. You won't find a higher quality double shielded Ultra SCSI cable anywhere! We guarantee them for life.
IBM SCSI Cables IBM uses either a 60 mini centronics or a 68-pin high density connectors on its SCSI interface. These connectors use a unique form factor and do not comply with ANSI/SCSI standards.
The cable used on these assemblies is 86 ohms single-ended and 134 ohms differential.
Internal Workstation SCSI Cables
Internal SCSI cables are constructed for either single ended or differential applications. For applications requiring 50 conductor flat cable ( 0.050 centers ) PVC meets ULTRA SCSI requirements.
For applications requiring 68 conductor ( 0.025 centers ) TPE meets Ultra SCSI requirements. Ultra SCSI cables are downward compatible with SCSI II applications.
We stock the largest variety of SCSI cable types, including round internal SCSI cables, for equipment from all major manufacturers. Our knowledgeable sales staff and technical support specialists will assist you all the way in selecting the proper SCSI cable solution for your specific application.
