Code of Conduct
Cable Connection has adopted the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) as a guideline for its own code of conduct related to worker safety and fairness, environmental responsibility, and business ethics. Supplier shall adhere to the RBA Code of Conduct, as implemented by Cable Connection, and to the extent that these codes of conduct do not directly interfere with local laws in the country (ies) where supplier has its business operations and manufacturing facilities. Supplier shall ensure operations are being performed in a manner that is appropriate, as it applies to their ethical, legal, environmental, and social responsibilities.
It is expected that Cable Connection and its suppliers will uphold the human rights of workers, and to treat all employees with dignity and respect. This applies to all workers including temporary, migrant, student, contract, direct employees, and any other type of worker.
The labor standards are:
- Provide safe working conditions for all employees and contractors.
- Provide fair wage and benefits in accordance with local laws.
- Operate in a manner that working hours are not to exceed the maximum set by local laws. Further, a workweek should not be more than 60 hours per week, including overtime, except in emergency or unusual situations. Workers shall be allowed at least one day off every seven days.
- Operate in a manner that receives humane treatment without abusive or threats of abusive punishment.
- Operate in a manner that does not instill under-aged child labor, shall allow workers to freely choose employment and shall not practice the use of forced, bonded or indentured labor.
- Operate in a manner that allows all employees to exercise freedom of association. Workers can form and join trade unions of their own choosing, to bargain collectively and to engage in peaceful assembly as well as respect the right of workers to refrain from such activities. Workers and/or their representatives shall be able to openly communicate and share ideas and concerns with management regarding working conditions and management practices without fear of discrimination, reprisal, intimidation, or harassment.
- Operate in a manner of free from harassment and unlawful discrimination.
- Operate with high business integrity without influence of corruption or bribery.
Adhere to all applicable National, Regional, State and Local laws and regulations governing Environment, Health and Safety.
Cable Connection fully recognizes the concerns over human rights, ethics and environmental responsibility and we will regularly evaluate our policies to ensure continued compliance with the reporting obligations imposed by our customers.
